Recipes are scattered across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in video form — hard to follow with wet hands, harder to turn into a shopping list. Built for the RevenueCat Shipyard Creator Contest, which meant the app also had to prove it could monetize, not just demo well.
Paste a cooking video URL and SousChef extracts ingredients, steps and timing with Gemini 1.5 Flash, then hands it back as a structured recipe with voice-guided, hands-free cooking, automatic shopping lists, meal planning against your pantry, and multi-timer tracking. Subscription access is handled through RevenueCat.
